BIM Inc
Brain Injury Matters Inc (BIM) facilitates self-advocacy and community education for people living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). BIM is currently organising events and improving this website to better deliver these services.
We aim to:
- help people living with ABI to realise potential for a full life within a supportive community.
- increase community awareness about ABI.
OFFICE HOURS
BIM is based at Ross House, Level 4, 247 Flinders Lane, Melbourne, between Swanston and Elizabeth Streets. The BIM office opening hours are 11am until 4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but the office will be closed when staff are at meetings. If you contact us by phone or email we can make a time to be there that suits you. BIM office emails and phone messages are checked regularly. To leave a message or make an appointment please email bim_statewide@yahoo.com.au or phone 96397222.

SUPPORT & SELF-ADVOCACY GROUPS

Three regional groups closely linked with BIM are BrainPower in Port Melbourne , WESABI Melbourne/Western region and the Mornington Peninsula group in Mornington. Their details can be found on our contact page.
BIM also has links to many other ABI related groups and now has a formal partnership with the Summer Foundation, ACL and also VCASP. You can find details on our links page.

- Peer support on a variety of self-advocacy issues
- Raising community awareness about ABI
