If You Break Your Brain

An artistic collaboration leading to the creation and publication of animated films.

Project Date: March 2008

• people with ABI and young people without ABI will work together in a group
• through workshops (discussion, writing/storytelling, drawing and video) will develop a series of short animations / black cloth video.
• workshops will be led by artists involved with 'stART Community Arts'
• films/animations on DVD with discussion questions will be packaged and launched late 2008

This project name was created in response to a poster from Queensland with the line "what can I do if I break my brain?". Join this project if you want to talk about access and attitudes, how people cope with ABI disabilities, and building positive lives. It's not just about making people feel pity for those of us with ABI.
